Carrie Bianchini is part owner of Shawnanigans, a food truck and catering business out of Warsaw, Indiana that provides delicious food for your shindigs and shenanigans! They specialize in ½ pound bison burgers, grilled sandwiches, and homemade jams and sauces.
Shawnanigans was born out of her husband, Shawn’s, dream in 2018. They began as a catering company and then fearlessly pivoted the business into a food truck when COVID changed the catering landscape. Carrie and Shawn are the perfect duo; Shawn cooks, manages the behind-the-scenes stuff like the menu, while Carrie runs the business’s social media accounts, manages hospitality, and the customer experience.
Carrie was born and raised in the great state of Ohio and came to Warsaw, Indiana for college and graduate school. She has been happily married to her best friend and business partner for 6 years now. Together, they have two dogs and share 16 nieces and nephews! She is a licensed mental health therapist but her most important title and true passion lies is being a “chef wife”. When she’s not working, you can find her traveling with her husband, lounging on the beach, in her craft room, or spending time with her family.
When asked to share some advice to other women looking to start their own business, Carrie shared,
“Do it! Working for ourselves has been the hardest and best journey. Do it anyway, but if you have a partner that you can also work with, do that! Going to work every day with my husband is my favorite thing about our business.”
