Kerri Cook is the owner of The Kloset Boutique, a local online and mobile boutique in Warsaw, Indiana. The Kloset Boutique’s mission is to “offer trendy apparel, jewelry, and accessories to women who value style and comfort”. Kerri started the business initially as a Facebook page in 2014 and operated from the basement of her home. It was a slow start, but within two years it began to grow quickly! In 2017, Kerri purchased The Kloset Boutique truck and began the process of turning the boutique into a business on wheels.
Kerri shares that it was scary at first to leave her full-time job at Zimmer Biomet in 2018 to pursue her passion, but 4 years later, she can confidently say it was so worth it! She loves the Kosciusko County community and the relationships she has built with her clientele.
Kerri is a wife to Greg and a mother of two adult children, Kylie and Blake. Her and her husband also have two furbabies that they adore! She has lived in the Warsaw area her entire life and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
When asked to share some advice with other women looking to start their own businesses, Kerri says,
“Don’t let fear get in the way – which I know can be easy to do! Have confidence, do your research, and just go for it. If you don’t at least try, nothing will ever come to fruition. Take small steps each day toward your goal, and it will pay off!”
