Tara Wong is the owner and creator of 2 Arrows Company, an online boutique and pop-up-shop out of Warsaw, Indiana that provides high-quality, handsewn bags, clutches, wristlets, headbands, and more. 2 Arrows Company was born out of Tara’s desire to learn how to sew when she was pregnant with her son in 2018. The intention was just to create some burp rags and bibs for the new baby. But after teaching herself how to sew by watching YouTube videos and then buying the materials and a new sewing machine, Tara was hooked!
In 2021 Tara made her first handbag, and then in August of that same year, 2 Arrows Company officially hit the ground running! Tara began handmaking and selling headbands, zipper pouches, and other small items.
“I love being able to design bags that are practical and unique, as well as beautiful! I think it encourages other women that sewing can be fun, and the options are endless on what you can create.”
The name of her company was inspired by Psalm 127:4,
“Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.” Based on this verse, Tara got a tattoo to represent her 2 children who represent her 2 arrows in life that motivate her to chase her dreams as she works to raise them up in the way they should go.
When Tara isn’t hard at work creating and handcrafting new quality items to feature in her shop, you can find her spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their two children, Nova and Nash. She also loves shopping and eating out with her friends!
When asked to share some encouraging words to other women business owners, Tara said,
