Second Opinion

Have you ever gone to the doctor and received a diagnosis or a treatment plan that you wanted a second opinion on?

Maybe something the doctor said didn’t sit right with you, or you’re not sure you want to take a certain course of action that they’re recommending.

Has the awkwardness of asking your doctor for a referral kept you from getting a second opinion from another healthcare professional?

Well, it doesn’t have to!

Your insurance company does not require you to obtain a referral in order to get a second opinion from another doctor or specialist.

So, the next time you want a fresh pair of eyes on your diagnosis or treatment plan, just make sure the doctor you see is ‘in network’ with your insurance company and then give them a call to schedule that appointment!

Keep in mind though, that if you do choose to get a second opinion, you may have to pay for any extra expenses.

If you have questions regarding your health insurance plan, or how to search for ‘in network’ doctors and facilities, give Clevenger Insurance a call today at 574-267-2181.
