If your kids have been driving you #bonkers about getting a trampoline in the backyard, keep reading, because this might just be the #excuse you need to bring their nagging to a #stop once and for all!
Did you know that homeowner’s policies have #exclusions?
An exclusion is an item or occurrence that is completely excluded from coverage, and in the case of a disaster, you would be held liable for any claims made against you.
Fun fact: your trampoline may fall under that list of #exclusions on your homeowner’s policy!
Every insurance carrier has a different set of guidelines of what is covered and what is not. Even if your homeowner’s policy does allow for a trampoline, there may be some extra hoops that the insurance company will want you to jump through in order to get the trampoline off the list of exclusions.
Those extra requirements may look like putting a safety net around the trampoline, making sure you’re in a fenced in yard and putting extra padding around the trampoline springs.
So, before you rush off to the nearest department store to purchase that trampoline, call your insurance agent and make sure that it’s not on your insurance company’s list of exclusions!
