Gina Clevenger is part owner and Vice President of a local insurance company in Warsaw and Elkhart, Indiana called Clevenger Insurance Agency. At Clevenger Insurance, the mission is always to engage, educate, and empower their clients to create a marvelous insurance experience.
Gina was born in the windy city of Chicago but relocated to Indiana when she was young so that her dad could chase his dream of opening his own family business. She’s an Indiana University graduate and married her high school sweetheart and business partner, Joe Clevenger. Together, they have three children, two big bloodhounds, a lucky black cat named Salem, a turtle and a fish.
Because of Gina’s Italian background, the Clevenger’s have an open-door policy in their home, and she loves spending time with her friends and family. When Gina isn’t in the office or hosting her guests, she loves to travel and has made it a life goal to visit all of America’s beautiful national parks. She also enjoys cooking, all things nature, and holidays spent with her family.
Gina and her husband, Joe, took ownership of Clevenger Insurance from Joe’s father, Jerry, in 2017, but her insurance experience doesn’t start there. She worked for 15 years in the industry under her father-in-law prior to taking over the agency. Together, Joe and Gina operate Clevenger Insurance with the mission of protecting their community’s assets by providing home, auto, business, life, and group health insurance.
“Our business isn’t just insurance,” Gina says, “it’s also about mentoring, collaborating, and creating ideas within our team and community.”
When asked to share some advice she has for women looking to start their own business, Gina said,
'“Timing is everything. It’s okay to lose the battle to win the war. Believe that the universe is on your side and that God makes everything beautiful in its time.”
