Today, March 26th 2018, is “Purple Day” to raise awareness and get a conversation going about Epilepsy! Epilepsy is a condition of the brain that is characterized by recurrent seizures. Epilepsy is one of the most common chronic neurological disorders and about 50 million people worldwide have this condition. This means that approximately one percent of the general population has epilepsy. “Purple Day” is an opportunity to wear purple in order to recognize and spread awareness for those with Epilepsy.
