The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program gives you the skill and support you need to make lasting, healthy lifestyle changes. In this program, you will spend a year surrounded by supportive people with common goals: working to reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes as you gain energy and confidence. This program will be lead by a trained lifestyle coach and it offers 16 weekly one-hour sessions followed by eight monthly sessions. They will cover topics such as making better food choices and incorporating physical activity in your daily life.
