Kassie Timmins is the proud owner of Advocate CCM, Inc., located in Syracuse, Indiana. Advocate CCM, Inc. works with employers and insurance companies to manage the clinical aspect of a worker’s compensation injury. Kassie attends doctor’s visits with her clients and facilitates providers’ orders such as physical therapy, transportation, translation, as well as helping to obtain medical approval if surgery is needed. She walks with her clients through every step of a worker’s compensation claim, educating them on the process and their ongoing treatment plans, and acts as a bridge between the client and their employer, provider, and insurance company.
Before Kassie entered into the world of worker’s compensation claims, she worked as a floor nurse for 14 years where she experienced her own work-related injury. She struggled through the process of her worker’s compensation claim and realized because of her experience, she wanted to make a difference in the lives of others going through the same thing. Since then, she has made it her goal to be the voice and personal guide for people struggling through their own work-related injury.
Kassie is a wife of 28 years, a mother of 3, and a grandmother of 8 who has lived in northern Indiana all her life. She moved to Kosciusko County 6 years ago to enjoy lake life! Her favorite form of ‘therapy’ is enjoying a glass of wine, crafting, and spending time with her 3 cats.
When asked to share some encouraging words with other women business owners, Kassie said,
“Don’t be afraid! It’s overwhelming at first but surround yourself with positivity. use all the resources at your disposal and keep learning.”
