Tina Minnix-Phipps is the owner of T’s Styling Studio, a local hair salon in Warsaw, Indiana. T’s Styling Studio is turning 30 years old this November and Tina herself has been a hairstylist for 44 years! When Tina isn’t running her business or doing a client’s hair, you can find her exploring the various small businesses in Kosciusko County. She also loves to paddleboard and spending hours outside tending to her flowers.
Although Tina has been a business owner for nearly 30 years, it hasn’t always been an easy endeavor! She was a single woman with a dream to pursue her passion of owning a small business and had to speak to 13 different banks before her business loan was approved. Tina’s grit and perseverance paid off and she can proudly say that she’s the first woman in her family to successfully own and run a small business!
When asked to share some advice to other women wanting to start their own businesses, Tina said,
“If you feel it in your spirit that this is your direction, don’t give up and keep pushing! Let your faith be stronger than your fear.”
